These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the atama website, online store and booking channels (the “Site”) and your purchase of our products and services (including treatments, gift packages and gift cards). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

2. Using the Site
You agree not to misuse the Site (e.g., interfere with security, attempt to access another customer’s account, or infringe our IP). Content on the Site (text, images, logos) is owned by atama or our licensors. You may not copy or use it without permission.
3. Orders & acceptance
Placing an item in your cart doesn’t reserve it. Your order is accepted when we issue an order confirmation. We may cancel (and refund) if stock is unavailable, pricing is obviously incorrect, fraud is suspected, or we can’t lawfully supply. If we can’t supply on time or within a reasonable time, we’ll offer a remedy (e.g., a revised timeframe, refund or cancellation).
4. Pricing, GST & payments
All prices are in AUD and include GST unless stated otherwise. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Charges appear at order time. We may change prices of products and treatments at any time (changes don’t affect accepted orders and bookings).
5. Shipping, delivery & risk
Carrier & timeframes. We ship via Australia Post.
  • Express Post: next-business-day delivery to most metro postcodes.
  • Standard Post: typically 2+ business days (allow extra time for regional/remote areas).
    Delivery timeframes are estimates provided by Australia Post and may vary during peak periods, due to weather or network delays.
Same-day dispatch (weekdays). Orders for Gift Packages placed before 12:00pm AEST (Mon–Fri) are dispatched the same business day (by ~4:00pm). Orders after 12:00pm or on weekends/QLD public holidays ship the next business day.
Brisbane festive local drop-off. During the week leading up to Christmas (Mon–Fri) we offer same-day, in-house drop-offs within the Brisbane metropolitan area for an additional fee. Limited daily slots; select this option at checkout or contact us to arrange.
Authority to leave. If you grant “Authority to Leave”, the parcel is deemed delivered once left at the address.
Risk & title. Title transfers on full payment; risk passes on delivery to the address you provide.
Failure to deliver. If delivery can’t be completed (e.g., incorrect address or no safe place), we’ll arrange re-delivery (fees may apply) or collection.
6. Click & Collect
Click & Collect is available from our Brisbane store (see Contact page for address). Please contact us to arrange a time to Click & Collect your parcel or gift package.
7. Gift cards (digital & physical)
  • Expiry. Gift cards sold by atama are valid for 3 years from the date of supply and display the expiry date.
  • Fees. We don’t charge post-purchase fees that reduce the card balance.
  • Redemption. Redeem online or in-store for eligible products/services until the balance is spent or the card expires.
  • Non-refundable. Gift cards are not refundable or redeemable for cash, except as required by law.
  • Lost or stolen. Treat gift cards like cash; lost or stolen cards may not be replaced.
8. Consumer guarantees, returns & remedies
If a product or service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to a remedy—repair, replacement, refund, service re-supply, and/or compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss—depending on the nature of the failure.
9. Returns, exchanges & hygiene exclusions 
Because most items are purchased as gifts, we do not accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges for:
  • Gift Cards (digital or physical)
  • Gift Packages
  • Hygiene-sensitive products (see below)
Hygiene-sensitive products (no returns once opened). For health and safety reasons, the following cannot be returned or exchanged once opened, used, or if any hygiene seal/packaging is broken—unless they fail to meet ACL consumer guarantees:
  • Silk pillowcases (including pillowcase sets and silk accessories)
  • Hair brushes and scalp tools (combs, brushes, gua-sha, etc.)
  • Personal care/beauty consumables (oils, serums, mists, hair/scalp products)
  • Sleep/eye masks and wearable items that contact skin or hair
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items. If your item arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number, photos and a brief description. We’ll organise replacement or refund where a major failure occurs or a reasonable remedy can’t be provided. If we sent the wrong item, we’ll cover return shipping and send the correct item promptly.
Gift recipients. For ACL issues, the recipient may contact us directly for a remedy with proof of purchase (order number or purchaser details).
Return conditions & process.
  • Email hello@atamaheadspa.com with your order number, photos (if relevant) and the reason for return.
  • Items must be returned in original packaging with all components.
  • We may inspect/test items to verify a fault.
  • For approved returns where we are responsible (fault/incorrect item), we’ll provide a prepaid label. For any other permitted returns, you’re responsible for tracked return shipping and the goods remain your responsibility until received.
  • We may decline returns showing use, laundering, wear, odour, stains, tampering, or missing components/packaging. For silk pillowcases, natural colour and weave variations are not faults; please follow the care instructions provided.
10. Bookings, deposits & cancellations
To secure a treatment booking we require a deposit or valid gift card code. You may reschedule or cancel up to 48 hours before your appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in the forfeiture of the deposit or a portion of the voucher value.
11. Errors, availability & accuracy
We aim for accuracy but errors (pricing, descriptions, availability) may occur. If we discover a material error after accepting your appointment or order, we’ll contact you to confirm the corrected details or cancel and refund.
12. Electronic communications & signatures
You consent to receive communications (order confirmations, invoices, notices) electronically and to transact digitally; electronic communications have legal effect where the law permits.
13. Privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy . We use your details to fulfil orders/bookings, provide customer care, and comply with legal obligations.
14. Force majeure
We’re not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., extreme weather, carrier network disruptions, public health events). We’ll take reasonable steps to minimise impacts.
15. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland have jurisdiction.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a new version on the Site. Changes apply to orders placed after the updated date.
